Annual Pumpkin Chuck Competition

Event Description

This is the 13th Annual CFC Pumpkin Chuck, an event that repeatedly brings in hundreds of people to spread awareness for the Combined Federal Campaign. Sponsored by AFLCMC/EN-EZ, this event has traditionally been catered to the military and government employee community located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. However, recently the event was opened to the public; a move that increased involvement and provided the Dayton area a chance to experience an activity that is quickly growing in popularity throughout the country.

This year’s chuck will take place on October 27, 2016 from 11am-3:30pm at the airstrip adjacent to the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Activities will include chucker demonstrations and competitions, a pumpkin pie baking contest, and a pumpkin cream pie speed eating challenge. Concessions will be provided by several local food trucks!

The CFC Pumpkin Chuck has proven to be an exciting event that gives teams and spectators a chance to observe some of the brightest minds in the area as they attempt to demonstrate the most effective way to make a pumpkin fly.
